Hollow core slabs

Hollow core Slabs are pre stressed concrete elements, cast with advanced extrusion technique. Cores are made in the thickness running along the length with advanced machineries. The slabs are manufactured in different thickness and length. The standard width of the slabs is 1200 mm. Our production and erection procedures are comply with British standards and ministry specifications.

Hollow core slabs are lighter by less than 50% of normal reinforced concrete slabs. This enables to design the light structural frame. The reduced structural frame and flooring slabs leads to reduce the size of the foundation. This saves the construction time and overall cost of the project.

Bearings
Nominal and minimum bearings depend on the loading conditions and type of construction. Under normal conditions the Hollow core slabs will need a minimum bearing not less than 65mm.
